Content Development as the Basis for Producing Series with Social Impact

Objectives and Values

1. In the context of this tender, Ystudios is asking creative talents to submit proposals for television series intended for an international audience on the topics of courage, calls to action, and responsibility.

Eligibility to Submit Proposals: Prerequisites

1. Each creator may submit up to two (2) proposals in the context of this tender. However, this does not disqualify that person from submitting additional proposals for any other projects undertaken by Ystudios.
2. The individual must have created at least one television or literary work, produced and distributed commercially.
3. The proposal is not in any active process of being submitted elsewhere (including any foundations and/or broadcasters and/or funders and/or producer), and for which no third party has any rights.

Deadlines and Procedures for Submission, and Accompanying Documents

1. The proposal must be submitted no later than 11:59 p.m., March 15, 2023 (henceforth “the submission deadline”).
2. Proposals can be submitted in Hebrew or English. They must not exceed 2,000 words. The proposal should be submitted as a single PDF file, which includes all of the information listed below (multiple files should not be submitted).

6.1 An abbreviated statement of intent, explaining why the proposal is in accord with the studio’s values;

6.2 A brief synopsis for the season, not to exceed 1,000 words; 

6.3 A detailed description of the main characters, not to exceed 500 words;

6.4 The genre, number of episodes, and length;

6.5 A single page resumé.

6.6 The proposals must contain original material owned exclusively by the authors, and which is not currently submitted to any third party.

The Selection and Development Process

1. Once the submission date has passed, a professional team representing Ystudios will review and select projects for further development (henceforth, “the selected projects”). Ystudios will then negotiate with the creators of the selected projects individually, with the goal of reaching a detailed agreement regarding the further development of said content. 
2. The selection of proposal does not constitute any guarantee or commitment by Ystudios to accept the proposal and/or to take any further action with regard to it, including the granting of any financing toward the project.
3. Upon the completion of the negotiations and development process, which is expected to last several months, Ystudios will attempt to promote the selected projects for sale, mainly in the international market.
4. Ystudios will choose the selected projects based on its own considerations, and in accordance with the standards, criteria, and considerations determined by Ystudios from time to time, at its sole discretion.
5. Ystudios has the right to change or cancel the terms of this document at any time, without providing any compensation to the creators. The creators forego any claims whatsoever regarding this agreement.
